Chapter 23: Wherein The Volares expand their Enterprise

There is a relatively small but ardent population in the steamlands that represent the Entrepreneurial classes. While others play out roles of grand Duchesses of Pomp and Fluff, or Bookbound Scholars or trumped up self-made "pirates," we represent the underbelly of the Victorian image. We own the bosses that drive the workhouses. We smuggle French and Oriental narcotics past the admiralty. We find a use for all of Dickens' little scamps. We are not criminals, no. We understand the markets, and that Laws are merely fashionable denials.

We lubricate the gears of Society.

As such, M'dear and I have been talking with Des and several fellow Caledonians. As we all know, the fabled Guv'nah Shang Catgirl Dungeon does not exist, despite doors to it being littered all over Caledon. Why not make the legend live, eh?

I have just put in the order for a full sim, to be placed near Caledon.

While not affiliated with "Caledon" in any official sense, it's theme can best be described as "The Whitechapel of  Victoria City"

The sim will be rated Adult and be damage enabled. Several animators and clothing designers have already signed on for the initial opening. We have worked out a monetized "reverse rent" system to guarantee the sim has a live cast at all times for visitors to interact with.

This is the back alleys and slum of London, 1888. Jack The Ripper stalks the streets. Prostitution, Extortion, and Thuggery are the daily reality...

We have a great group of designers working on the build and look forward to a sneak-peek opening later this month.
