Like many, I have always been intrigued with ancient technology, and the discovery of the Antikythera device had no small part in that. Many authors, scientists, engineers, UFOlogists, crypto-archeologists, anthropologists and historians have puzzled after the use of the device, its construction and function.
But after all the speculation, bronze-age retro futurism, and gearhead-of-the-gods pontification, the truth was far more interesting. It was a highly accurate eclipse calculator. Still accurate, centuries later.
