Have you ever said this? Has this prediction ever held true?
You Have? It hasn't?
Good, then I was simply misguided in saying it, and not a liar.
I have spent the last few days far from my workshop. After a week of designing ejector seats that don't quite eject, and rudder assemblies that don't rudd, I spent two days, stethoscope in hand and ear, listening for an unwelcome vibration in my new engine. Is it something anyone else would notice? Probably not. But, I cannot release my new and updated designs knowing it is there.
In the midst of my aggravation, I looked at the puddle on the shop floor and the now crisp and charred lightning rod, and realized there has been a storm raging for the last two days, and all my adjustments and subtle tuning included compensating for the low, constant, dull rumbling of grid weather.
I was of a mind to seek catharsis in a proper historical manner and sack Rome.
Not wanting to start an international incident, I decided to take a short constitutional, and seek out a little wonder and amazement. Fortunately, it didn't take long for a little wonder and amazement to find me instead.
First, there were the new residents, exploring Caer Firnas. Some did a little exploring, some were couples looking for hide away nooks. My favorite though, was the young woman who explored all the abandoned houses, and was a bit concerned "What happened? Where did all the people go?"
Then, as I considered going back to my workshop, I was paged by Mr Walcher. Upon arriving, I discovered that I had been invited to play with Madcow Cosmos's newest fancy. Mr Walcher is a good friend, and both he and M.Cosmos are builders whom I admire for their creativity and their whimsy. To quote my mad-scientist grandfather, "They Get It."
So, passing an evening with Miss Gray, Miss Meredith, Mr Walcher, and M Cosmos put a huge smile on my face, and helped stoke the furnace.
Thunder be damned, new works, coming soon!
Camelot?
